You will find Lithos right in the heart of Fira facing the beautiful caldera and offering you the most wonderful view. It includes two terraces, and a small romantic balcony more appropriate for dinners of two. If you have planned quite a big gathering one of the terraces will be left entirely to you. The menu is rich in Greek tasty dishes, the service is great and the prices reasonable.
The location and view of Lithos are certainly its best characteristics.
Mario - Monolithos
Mario is a very nice restaurant in Monolithos, to be more specific on the beach of Agia Paraskevi which is very close to Kamari but not next to the other tavernas and all the cafes but in an area that gives you the essence of privacy.
The restaurant offers traditional Greek cuisine including fresh fish, sea food, grilled meat and tasty hors d'oeuvres. It has plenty of space for many guests outside or inside and it offers excellent service and tasty dishes. There, you can be as loud as you want since there are no other tavernas nearby. Your children may be kept busy in the restaurant's playground and you can leave your cars in the big parking lot situated next to the restaurant.
The prices for wedding menus range from 35 euros and up.
Nychteri - Kamari
Nichteri is a very beautiful restaurant in Kamari in the central pedestrian street next to the famous black beach of the island and all the shops and other tavernas. Its decoration makes it stand out from the rest and the dishes offered will certainly impress you. The chef, Vasilis Zacharakis is known for his creativity and skills in making dishes that will satisfy even the most difficult guests. Nichteri also offers an elegant spot inside for chilly nights.
Chick-peas puree, local cheese and Santorinian cherry tomatoes, the incomparable homemade tomato sauce, white aubergine, zucchinis, capers and caper leaves are the base for a chef like Vasilis to complete his tasty creations.
If you haven't been impressed with traditional Greek cuisine yet this is the chance to do so. The chef has chosen to work on Greek recipes with fresh, local products avoiding the extremities and signing interesting suggestions such as chick-peas puree with caramel onions, codfish with puree made from potatoes, filet with Vinsanto sauce and the mouth-watering Volcano, meaning ice-cream with tomato jam and divine halva, a traditional Greek dessert made with semolina. The restaurant also offers a very good wine list.
